When Julian’s not playing with his Los Angeles-based spazzy-weird outfit Fol Chen, he spends his free time making compositions like this - a slurry of 8-bit synth, deep bass layer, chill space and cinematic grandiosity. As he puts it, the influences come from “Nintendo, new age mysticism, America Online, Eazy E, Playstation, Cash Money Millionaires, childhood, adulthood, parenthood, and the undying urge to live in a house-sized geode.”
